Outdoors Community Time Group
10/06/15 Today Mrs Robb (Scarlett’s mum and landscape garden designer!) came into school to help the group plant up their Sensory Garden boxes. She brought some lovely plants with her for us to use – thank you Mrs Robb! Next time you are in our playground, see of you can work out which of our garden boxes matches which sense.

A Cold and Frosty Morning!

November brought some very different weather – P1-3 went outside to investigate.

It was fun writing "c" and "k" in the frost with our feet!

We have been looking at "measure" in maths. P2 and P3 used all different thermometers to investigate the temperature of the air and the ground - it was ZERO DEGREES!

Summer Term 2013, Where The Wild Things Are

P1-3 are having a fantastic time learning about all different kinds of Wild Things, and are spending Thursday morning outdoors every week. We are also learning about our “outdoor classroom” and how we can look after it.

We explored how the wind affected different materials, and had the most fun with our tarpaulin because it was big but also very light.

We found lots of wild flowers and plants but we decided that if we wanted enough food to live on, we would have to become farmers and grow some of our own...tatties!

Although sleet in May was interesting, we discovered the trees in the woods provided shelter and created some unusual habitats for tiny wild things.
